501129 NB Ltd. and it's various associated corporations (hereinafter referred to as "THE COMPANY", "we", "our" or "us" in this Privacy Statement and includes business styles, trademarks and organizations "Help 4 Taxes", "Help 4 Business", "KWIK-KA$H", "Canadian Tax Help", "Tax Help Inc.", "Double or Nothing", and "RH Financials") respects the privacy of your personal information as explained in this Privacy Statement. Personal information is information about an identifiable individual. This Privacy Statement provides information about what personal information THE COMPANY collects and how we use that information in Canada, whether provided on-line or in any other fashion. This Privacy Statement also provides direction on what to do if you do not want your personal information collected or shared and how to contact our company with respect to personal information. This Privacy Statement does not cover employee personal information of our Canadian associates nor does it cover information that is not personal information such as business contact information.

What information will THE COMPANY collect?

THE COMPANY collects personal information from you (such as your name, address, telephone number or email address) when you provide it to us voluntarily for example when you contact our company about one of our products or advertisements, or enter one of our promotional contests. In some cases, we may collect information on-line about you that is not personal information. Examples of this type of information include the type of Internet Browser you are using, the type of computer operating system you are using and the domain name of the website from which you linked to THE COMPANY Canadian website, advertisement or promotion.

THE COMPANY collects personal information about its guests and visitors. Specifically, visitors to THE COMPANY’s offices may be asked to provide their name, telephone number, organization name and other information required to conduct the business. This personal information is retained by THE COMPANY only as long as necessary for archival, legal, security and disaster preparedness purposes. THE COMPANY may also install video cameras in public-access areas on its premises.

We use the personal information we collect about guests of and visitors to THE COMPANY to enable us to act responsibly in the conduct of our business.

THE COMPANY has physical, electronic and managerial procedures designed to protect the integrity, security and appropriate use of personal information. Given that unencrypted electronically transmitted data is not 100% secure, we make no warranties as to the security of any information that you submit electronically that is done at your own risk.

We will explain the consequences of the withdrawal of your consent.

There are instances where THE COMPANY may collect, use or disclose your personal information without your consent, for example to collect a debt you owe to us, to comply with a subpoena or court order, or to comply with the rules of court regarding the production of records.

Access, Correction, Inquiries and Complaints

We maintain a file of your personal information for the above-mentioned purposes. This file is accessible at our main office. Authorized COMPANY employees, agents and mandataries have access to your personal information.

If you wish to request access to, or correction of, your personal information in THE COMPANY’s custody or control, or find out how we’ve used or disclosed that information, please make your request in writing to the contact information provided at time of service. We may need to verify your identity before searching for or providing you with personal information. In some circumstances, we may not be able to provide access to your personal information, for example if it contains the personal information of other persons, if it constitutes confidential commercial information, or if it is protected by solicitor-client privilege. “Cookies” - What information may be automatically stored on your computer?

From time to time we may set up websites in support of specific promotions. When you view one of our websites or on-line advertisements or promotions, we may store some information on your computer in the form of "cookies" or similar files. This information stored on your computer's hard drive does not contain any personal information, but enables us to communicate more meaningfully with you. As most Websites do, however, we do track usage patterns on our Website on an anonymous basis. Your identity cannot reasonably be ascertained from this information. Each time you visit our Website, our server records your Internet Service Provider, the date and time of your visit, the pages you visit and the documents downloaded, the searches you performed, and the referring URL’s you came from. We use this non-personal information to optimise our Website service.

For example, your continued consent to our collection, use and disclosure practices following notification of any material change and/or your continued access of our Website following the posting on the Website of any material changes to the privacy statement will signify your acceptance of, and agreement to be bound by, the terms of the modified Privacy Statement.
